Abstract

Experts and church leaders have employed different approaches to understanding the concept of leadership styles, depending 
on the situation at hand. This has created a misconception about the leadership style used in the churches in the Republic of Fiji Islands. This paper examines the Biblical and theoretical foundations for spiritual leadership. It develops a spiritual leadership development program for the Fulton Adventist University College Seventh-day Adventist Church, which is used as a case study. It is hoped that upon implementation of the program, a spiritual leadership style will be encouraged in the church.
