Abstract

This paper explores the biblical-theological meaning of inheritance in Numbers 36:5–9. The passage reveals God’s justice in that He protects the vulnerable while preserving covenantal identity and tribal integrity, as seen in the case of the daughters of Zelophehad. Focusing on the ultimate inheritance in Christ, Numbers 36:5–9 presents inheritance as both a divine gift and a covenantal sign. The narrative demonstrates God’s relational justice when individuals balance rights with communal harmony within His covenant purposes.
